Internet Radio
I have been looking for reliable Internet Radio stations for some time now. So when I found SHOUTcast.com I was a little skeptical of its performance. I must say I am quite impressed by the range of radio stations. Not only can you be a listener and enjoy commerial-free music but you can choose to be broadcaster if you wish. Check it out!

Friends and Foes in the Tech World
The Wall Street Journal ran a story about eBay. They said that eBay is now trying to collaborate and team up with Microsoft and Yahoo! to develop solutions to fight their common enemy Google. Well, it's going to get interesting to see what happens. I guess we are going to see more co-optetion amongst these players.

Monarchy under fire
What is currently happening in Nepal is no surprise. The last couple of decades have been marked by political instability. In 2001 King Birendra and his family members were killed. And now we are seeing protests against King Gyanendra. The people of Nepal are asking for restoration of Democracy. Hopefully this will happen soon.

Personal Productivity
A friend of mine recommended I should read David Allen's book "Getting Things DONE". So I went to the Barnes and Noble bookstore and picked up a copy. I already have a copy of Stephen Covey's "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". I feel Covey communicates the underpinnings of personal productivity much more eloquently than David Allen.
However, one of the striking similarities in both approaches is their emphasis on the weekly review.
Fast Company published an interesting piece of David Allen.

Clipmarks.com
This seems like an interesting concept to me. The Clipmarks.com web site got a good review from PC Magazine. I checked out their demo, I think I am going to try it out. Don't know if it's going to catch on.
I believe this is another site which uses the Web 2.0 development technique called AJAX. Stay tuned to read more on AJAX in my future posts.

Google Calendar
Just got notified by the good folks at About.com that Google launched it's Calendar beta product. I haven't played around with it yet, but go ahead and check out Google Calendar. Enjoy!
Google's Finance page
The other day, my brother-in-law mentioned that Google has created it's own Finance page. I was very excited. I am a big fan of Google. They are one of the world's most innovative companies, having rightly earned a spot of the BusinessWeek's The World's Most Innovative Companies.
When I visited the Google Finance page I noticed that it does not have a lot of meat. And it's BETA just like most of their other products. The interface is simple as well. I'll be watching what they do to this product. They have an extremely tough competitor in that space with Yahoo! Finance.
